Maracaibo, a strategic game for 1-4 players designed by Alexander Pfister, is set in the Caribbean during the 17th century. Players compete to gain influence across three nations over four rounds, with each round taking approximately 40 minutes per player.

Sailing along a circular route through the Caribbean, players can visit city tiles to perform various actions or deliver goods. A unique feature of the game is the quest mode, which offers a narrative experience through different tiles, adding a story element for players who choose to follow it.

Players navigate the course with their ships, strategically managing actions using cards, a familiar mechanic found in other Alexander Pfister games.
